How the register is built

Solution Malaysia is a register of local companies organised around the problems people actually have. This page is the long version of how a company gets onto it and stays there.

1. Research

For each city and trade we build a first working list of ten to fifteen companies. Selection is not by rating alone. Established names, companies with strong review histories, companies with strong portfolios, local specialists and newer companies all get a place on the research list.

2. Evidence

We then record what can be checked: registered name and registration number, trading address, service areas, the services offered, project records, public review data, official social accounts, and any licences or certificates. Every field on a published profile carries its source and the date we checked it.

3. Assessment

Six weighted criteria produce a score out of 100. The score maps to a company level. Local Elite needs 85 or above, plus a separate eligibility gate and a named editor’s approval. Insufficient evidence means no level is assigned, not a low one.

4. Maintenance

Public rating data is rechecked within 90 days. Every record shows the date it was last reviewed. Companies and members of the public can send corrections at any time, and we log what changed.

What this is not

• There are no first, second or third place lists in any city or trade.
• City and problem pages are not published until they carry real local content and real records.
• Public Google ratings and our own assessment score are never blended into a single figure.
• No placeholder company data is ever shown. Where we have no reliable source, we say so.
