How we evaluate businesses
Last updated 28 Aug 2026The Solution Malaysia assessment is six weighted criteria scored by an editor from the evidence on file. It decides a company’s level, including whether it is eligible for the Local Elite seal. It is separate from the public Google rating and the two are never averaged.
The six criteria
| Criteria | Weight | What we read |
|---|---|---|
| Customer feedback | 25 points | Public reviews per platform, read separately, never averaged into one number |
| Work evidence | 20 points | Project records with scope, date and location; portfolios; before-and-after where credible |
| Local presence | 20 points | Trading address, service areas, and years working in the city |
| Transparency | 15 points | Registered name, registration number, and working contact routes |
| Digital presence | 10 points | An official website and official social accounts, kept current |
| Data freshness | 10 points | A complete record with no conflicts and a recent check date |
From score to level
- 85 and above — eligible for Local Elite, subject to the eligibility gate and an editor’s approval.
- 70 to 84 — Established. Solid history and data, some evidence still thin.
- 50 to 69 — Active. Trading and contactable, limited public evidence.
- Below 50, or not enough data to score — Listed. Basic details confirmed only.
A company with verified facts but no completed assessment stays at Active. Being unassessed is not a mark against a company.
