Review policy
Last updated 28 Aug 2026This policy covers how company records are reviewed before publication and kept current afterwards.
Before publication
- An editor checks the registered details, the address, and at least one working contact route.
- Services and problems solved are recorded from the company’s own material, not from marketing copy.
- Public review data is captured with the date it was checked.
- The record is approved, sent back for more evidence, or declined with a reason.
After publication
- Google rating and review count are rechecked within 90 days.
- Every record shows the date of its last full review.
- A correction from a company or a member of the public triggers a review of the affected fields.
Re-assessment
A company’s level can move up or down at a scheduled re-review if the evidence has changed. The Local Elite seal is re-checked every year and withdrawn if the evidence no longer supports it.
